Job Title: Junior Sheriff’s Assistant
Introduction
We are looking for a Junior Sheriff’s Personal Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between the Sheriff, clients and the rest of the Sheriff’s office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaising with Clients
- Liaising with Sheriff’s office
- Doing the Sheriff’s inquiries
- Keeping records of legal document payments
- Scheduling the Sheriff’s appointments
- General administrative duties as required
Desired Experience; Qualifications; Other Requirements
Qualifications / Experience
- LLB or BCom Graduates or;
- Individuals with 3 years of relevant work experience.
Other Requirements:
- Microsoft 365 skills
- Legal South African Driver’s license
- Reliable Car (subject to the Sheriff’s approval)
Package & Remuneration
Interview:
- Subject to passing a test that is set up by Sheriff Halfway House – Alexandra
- Knowledge of court rules tested.
- Typing speed and accuracy tested
- Excel skills tested
- Telephone manner and interpersonal communication evaluated
- Study material and pass rate will be provided.
- If passed, a formal interview will be arranged.
Probation package:
- 3 Months
- R8 500 per month Remuneration
- 24-hour reciprocal notice period
Successful candidate to be appointed as Junior Sheriff’s assistant:
- Pro-rata commission on the paid revenue received by the Sheriff’s office, per month.
