Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Introduction
A great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client in the Railway industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret contractual relevant obligations applicable to the position within the framework of the concession agreement.
- Provide assurance of sub-contractor performance against their contractual obligations.
- Review all contractual obligations relating to asset condition and facilities management and develop and implement plans to ensure compliance by all subcontractors to these obligations.
- Develop and implement processes to monitor asset condition and facilities management against obligations and objectives and report non-conformances and/or defects.
- Develop and implement processes and plans to ensure non-conformance and/or defects noted by the company are addressed and closed out by subcontractors.
- Compile and analyze trends to identify negative movements and propose actions to mitigate those movements
- Analyze Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) performance against design parameters and identify non-conformances.
- Compile and submit operational and maintenance related reports for submission to stakeholders while assuring compliance to quality standards.
- Identify improvement areas that will contribute to cost effectiveness, operational efficiency and/or improved reliability etc. and the implementation thereof in collaboration with subcontractors.
- Assist with variation orders specification, costing and implementation.
- Assist with the assurance of safe practices and compliance to environment obligations by subcontractors.
- Develop and implement initiatives to manage and mitigate the company’s risk profile
- Build positive and constructive relations with all stakeholders.
- Attend to applicable administrative tasks and reporting (written and presentations).
Desired Experience & Qualification
BSc or BEng Degree: Engineering or Industrial Engineer.
The ideal candidate will be technically skilled with exposure to one or more of the different engineering disciplines (electrical / mechanical / civil / computer based systems and sub-systems etc.)
Contractual assurance experience would be an additional advantage.
5+ years relevant experience.
Package & Remuneration
Up to R850K neg
