Job Title: Technician / Verification Officer
Introduction
TECHNICIAN/ VERIFICATION OFFICER
Duties & Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for the implementation, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems that form part of projects countrywide, Truck and Gantry.
- Complete relevant Documentation for projects.
- Adhere to HSEQ policy and assist in improving the current system.
- Adhere to the Quality Management system as well as assist in improving the current system
- Analyse current methods used in providing service, and suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Assisting and training Service Technicians on all technical aspects of the service functions.
- Comply with the requirements of SANS 10378 and Legal Metrology as defined in the policy, procedure, and work instruction manual during the execution of duties, including but not limited to:
- Complete site visit reports.
- Complete verification certificates.
- Ensure quality records are effectively maintained.
- Attend Quality Meetings as directed by the Technical and Service Manager.
- Conduct in-service training of verification officers as directed by the Technical and Service Manager.
- Control customer sites when delegated, i.e. security, housekeeping, safety precautions, equipment, maintenance, and measurement traceability.
- Keep abreast of the latest requirements and legislation applicable to flameproof & hazardous environments.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Experience as a Verification Officer SANS 10378 and Legal Metrology
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have own reliable transport
- Must be willing to travel.
Package & Remuneration
Cost to Company Remuneration package includes compulsory Provident Fund.
