Job Title: Independent Medical Practitioner
Introduction
We have a permanent position available for a General Practitioner at an established private practice (family medicine) in Somerset East (Eastern Cape).
The position will be a 3 – 6 months locum contract, thereafter a permanent contract will be offered should both parties wish to continue. This position will suit a Medical Practitioner who loves outdoor activities and a country lifestyle.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Patient consultations and physical examinations
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals and/or hospitals
- Small procedures
- Recognise symptoms of serious conditions and refer patients to specialists for further testing and treatment if needed.
- Manage emergency care
- All relevant duties as per your scope of Practice.
- Possibility of sessions at local Government Hospital
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirement:
- MB ChB
- Registered as a health practitioner with HPCSA
- Medical Indemnity Insurance
- Strong interpersonal skills
Package & Remuneration
Working hours:
Official office hours Monday to Friday (08H00 tot 17H00) and Saturday (08H00 to 12H00)
After-hours (weekday evenings and weekends including Saturday morning) are scheduled on a rotational basis depending on doctors’ availability after hours.
Remuneration: R62 500 with a view to profit sharing
