Job Title: Import & Export Assistant (Prospecton)
Introduction
An opportunity exists within our fast-paced and multifaceted Organisation for an Import and Export Assistant who will be responsible for assisting in the pricing, sourcing and clearing of imported products, and quotes. They will also be responsible for assisting with tenders and the supply of products for export.
Duties & Responsibilities
Sales duties:
- Manage the relationship with the sale team
- Follow up on tenders and tender summations
- General office administration and data capturing
- Ensure contract terms and incoterms are correct
- Generate and track sales orders
- Oversee trans shipments and high-sea sales
- Assist with any additional sales duties
Procurement duties:
- Liaise with the procurement department regarding the stock to be imported
- Arrange costings for tenders and stock imported
- General office administration and data capturing
- Placing orders with foreign suppliers and communicating with relevant parties
- Issuing freight forwarding instructions
- Ensure that drawings, labels, and packaging is correct
- Assist Divisional Director with sourcing new products
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Valid Grade 12 Certificate
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage
- 2 years’ experience in procurement
- Experience working with import and exports
- Strong administrative skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Planning and organizing skills
