Job Title: Financial Accountant – Wine packaging industry – R25,000 – R30,000 CTC
Introduction
A market leader & well-established company based in Klapmuts/Paarl area specialising in the imported packaging industry, is looking for an Accountant with 3- 5 years’ experience.
We are looking for a self-confident individual, who likes to work as part of a team, but is also willing to take initiative and capable of working independently.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with general accounting and administration duties and tasks
- Daily processing and reconciling of Bank accounts.
- Processing of Payroll (SAGE VIP)
- Capturing and review of Supplier Invoices
- Assist with general accounting month-end closing procedures
- Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
- Adhoc investigations and reporting
- Review and verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
- Manage Accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure the completion of assigned tasks in line with the established deadline
- Preparation and Processing of journal entries into the financial system
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required Knowledge and experience
- Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience
- Tertiary qualification – Accounting diploma/degree
- SAP Business One experience (an advantage)
- VIP payroll experience (an advantage)
- Microsoft Office (Excellent Computer literacy including Word & Excel)
- Must have attention to detail and be numbers-focused
- High integrity, Values, and morals
- Deadline orientated
- Well presented with excellent command of English both Verbal and written
- Able to work independently and self-motivated
- Hands on Person with the ability to get involved and get along with all Staff and people
- Ability to work under pressure
- Team player

- R25 000 – R30 000 CTC
- Starting Date: Immediately
- 5- 6 month temp contract (maternity leave cover)
