➢ Processes vendor documentation for company

➢ Transmits documents to user department for approval

➢ Reconciles vendor statements

➢ Investigates discrepancies in vendor invoices

➢ Makes payments to creditors

➢ Compiles monthly creditors reports

➢ Ensures all expenses are supported by valid documentation and properly authorized

➢ Processing of daily banking transactions and reconciliation

➢ Discrepancies identified and resolved and/or escalated timeously.

➢ Ensure collection of petty cash and issuing of cheques

➢ Processing of petty cash journals

➢ Cash Flow Planning and Management

➢ Processing/posting transactions to ledgers

➢ Maintain financial records and prepare general ledger reconciliation

➢ Processing invoices and submits to the business units or directly to the customer

➢ Sending monthly statements to customers

➢ Allocation of incoming receipts to debtor accounts

➢ Capture inward foreign payments in terms of Exchange Control Regulations

➢ Processing credit notes for clients

➢ Ensures all invoices are supported by valid documentation such as fixture notes, on/off-hire certificates, tonnage schedules, etc., and are properly authorized.

➢ VAT compliance in terms of a tax invoice and VAT registration

➢ Valid order number listed on invoices where applicable

➢ Review of accuracy and completeness of invoicing information provided by business units. Discrepancies identified and resolved and/or escalated

➢ Credit balances and short payments were identified and escalated to business unit managers.

➢ Provide information toward monthly debtors’ report

➢ Calculate and record statutory returns (VAT returns)

➢ Ad hoc tasks as required by the business
