- Matric with relevant qualification
- Min 5 – 10 years years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
- Excellent client communication skills, both spoken and written
- Pastel experience essential
- Intermediate Excel
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans ESSENTIAL
- Valid track record
- Excellent financial acumen, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail.
DUTIES
- Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions for the company for bookkeeping functions
- Managing invoices
- Extensive liaison with clients and building good relationships
- Update and maintain inventory journal
- Local stock orders
- Loading of payments ready for banking
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation of entries into the Pastel accounting system
- Debtors and Creditors’ functions
- Maintain the trial balance by the reconciliation of general ledgers
- VAT and PAYE submissions to SARS
- Managing excel spreadsheets
- Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
- Monitor any variances from the projected budget
- Managing the filing system
- General administration duties related to managing the finance sector
SALARY
