We are recruiting to fill the following position below:

Job Title: Payroll Consultant

Description

Solugrowth is looking for a Payroll Consultant to provide a professional service to our clients, ensuring an accurate payroll service is always delivered. Meet agreed client SLA’s and ensure delivery of an excellent ‘customer service’.

6 – 9 months contract role, with possible extension

The incumbent must possess thorough understanding of payroll regulations and practices as well as excellent mathematical, communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

Highly professional and organised Payroll Consultant with a solid experience in overseeing accurate and timely completion of payroll preparation, processing and maintenance activities. Possess thorough understanding of payroll regulations and practices as well as excellent mathematical, communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills. Duties include, but not limited to, identifying clients’ business needs, recommending improvements to payroll services or best practices, as well as computing payments, deductions, and tax information.

Knowledge and experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry will be advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Responsible for all aspects of payroll administration, including preparation, documentation and disbursement of all payroll payments and transfers (Either from the client owned bank account or a SoluGrowth designated payroll bank account).

•    Ensure input is received timeously each week and month.

•    Collate weekly input, and upload it on the RAMCO payroll system.

•    Responsible for leave adjustments upon request

•    Assist the Remuneration & Benefits Manager to correct /Support adjustments on employee pay rates.

•    Responsible for signing off on New/Amended Medical aid member applications.

•    Assist to upload and change new banking details on Workday.

•    Run special payments for corrections outside of the weekly timeline.

•    Process payments for Advances.

•    Responsible for the reconciliation and payment of third-party payments.

•    Liaising with third party payments.

•    Responsible for general administration, payroll month end and tax year end administration

•    Handling administration and payroll queries.

•    Responsible for client satisfaction and client retention.

•    Support payroll tax advisory services.

•    Responsible for ensuring all outstanding debtors in respect of payroll portfolio are collected.

Profile

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Matric + Payroll Certification.
  • Diploma in Payroll Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 2 – 5 plus years of payroll experience.
  • SAPA CPP+ Certification will be beneficial.

 

CORE COMPETENCIES & ATTRIBUTES

Technical competencies

  • Good understanding on the application of PAYE principles.
  • Must be able to resolve PAYE queries on payslip.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
  • Ability to prove calculations on the payslip.
  • VIP / PaySpace / SAGE 300 / RAMCO payroll software experience.
  • Microsoft Excel advanced experience (Pivots, V-Lookup, formulas).

Other requirements

  • Must have own reliable transport.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to work long hours.
  • Must have a stable internet connection when working after-hours and when working remotely.
  • Must be able to communicate inline with the India Standard Time (IST) Zone (GMT +5:30).
  • Reading/Write/Understanding the Hindi Language will be an advantage, but not a requirement.
