Job Title: Electrical Draftsman
Introduction
Our client, a reputable name within the Electrical Engineering industry, seeks an Electrical Draftsman to join their dynamic team who will be based in the East Rand.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage a team of electrical drafters and designers, providing guidance, training, and mentoring as required.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including project managers and engineers, to gather and understand design requirements.
- Review and approve electrical design documents, including plans, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with the procurement and production teams to support accurate purchasing, fabrication, and installation of electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to design specifications and project deadlines.
- Implement and maintain design standards, processes, and documentation guidelines.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to enhance team performance and deliver innovative solutions.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Proven experience in electrical drafting and design.
- Strong working knowledge of industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to effectively lead and manage a team, providing clear direction and setting performance expectations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve design issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
Package & Remuneration
R420 000 CTC – R480 000 CTC per annum based on experience and qualification level.
