Job Title: Project Manager – Electrical Engineering – To Start: 01/068/2023 – Salary R25-R30K Negotiable
Introduction
Our company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience within the electrical/mechanical engineering field.
The ideal candidate must have ECSA Professional registration with solid Project Management skills
The ideal candidate must bring leadership, management, and business development experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- To execute the planning, scheduling, control, and effective coordination of all construction and installation activities related to the management of multiple projects of moderate to high complexity and manage resources for effective and efficient production on the operations or projects
- Attend site meetings
- Perform project scope analysis
- Administer the tendering process
- Project pricing and cost monitoring
- Procure material
- Draught project plans
- Monitor site progress
- Control quality
- Co-ordinate safety
- Reporting on the progress of the projects or operations including scheduling unscheduled works, materials, and spares used.
- Ensure that construction and electrical projects are completed timely in accordance with established quality standards and procedures
- Develop and implement policies to ensure the completion of all area functions
- Coordinate closely with related departments or managers to maintain schedules and effect necessary revisions that are required.
- Inspect or direct the inspection of work to ensure conformance to specifications, schedules, and safety regulations.
- Ensure that all employees and sub-contractors receive site orientation and training and that all state or local code requirements and building permits, inspection, and project close-out processes are followed.
- Assign, train, direct and appraise construction and electrical personnel
- Achieve higher customer satisfaction through effective communication of both technical and non-technical topics with all levels of the organization both verbal and written.
- Exhibit project leadership, and effective decision-making throughout each project and consistently deliver projects that meet all stakeholder requirements.
- Ensure that projects are fully commissioned, qualified, and ready to start.
- Ensure that all safety regulations are closely adhered to by completing the required documentation
- Motivate staff on site
- Supervise all site personnel under your control
- Set daily tasks for the site team
- Execute maintenance, construction, and installation operations with the support of site personnel
- Report problems that affect operations
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Managing Director
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Btech/Electrical Engineering diploma with 5-10 years experience
- Project Management Professional course advantageous
- Human relations and excellent communication skills
- Extensive managerial and technical experience
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Project Outlook and MS Project)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, procedures, and standards.
