We are recruiting to fill the following position below:
Job Title: Healthcare Manager
Introduction
Medwell SA will be managing the healthcare services at the new, exclusive Harbour Bay Village Retirement Estate in Simon’s Town. Medwell is looking to acquire the services of a Registered Nurse with managerial experience as well as experience in Alzheimer’s’ Dementia who will be responsible for the overall management of all healthcare services offered in the estate.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and coordinate all healthcare services offered in the retirement estate, including Primary Healthcare, Assisted Living, Homebased Care, and later Frail- and Memory Care units.
- Manage all Medwell SA staff working at the retirement estate.
- Quality assurance of healthcare services.
- Liaise with residents, potential residents, family members, representatives, and estate management.
- Monthly management reporting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Afrikaans Excellent interpersonal relationships.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Fully computer literate.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must be able to work at a fast pace when required.
Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, and independently.
Comfortable with all nursing procedures, including Intravenous Therapy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum three years experience in a managerial position in the healthcare industry. (Management experience within the retirement industry beneficial.)
Experience in Alzheimer’s Dementia
Knowledge and practical experience of the professional requirements and procedures required as stipulated in the Scope of Practice of the South African Nursing Council.
Working hours: Mondays to Fridays 08:00 to 17:00
