Job Title: DaaS Data Analyst – AgriTech

Introduction

Our client is a development house with offices in Stellenbosch and Johannesburg. They focus on building new innovative agricultural technologies. They are a start-up, agricultural software company building solutions to optimise the value chain, while offering a business-to-business service. Their commerce platform connects buyers and growers with high quality fresh produce, creates visibility along the supply chain, and aggregates all data and communications onto a single platform.

The purpose of the DaaS team is to sell data as a service which will in turn create new revenue streams for the business. The DaaS team need to understand all departments and how they operate. They will need to research ideas and produce suitable solutions to optimise client’s data needs through innovation and utilisation of existing tools in Azure. This role will require an elevated level of engagement with a client in a variety of settings to gather client requirements and support project ideation.

Duties & Responsibilities

  •  Close co-operation with Daas management
  • Be able to deliver consistent value in meeting client’s needs.
  • Strong project management skills to oversee the project from start to completion.
  • Understand all departments within our clients stack and go through the necessary training.
  • Effectively prioritise deliverables by being systematic and pragmatic
  • Client engagement.
  • Initial Scoping and requirement gathering.
  • Creating dashboard mock-ups.
  • Project planning (timelines / prioritization – model setting up tickets in Jira).
  • Translate client needs.
  • Confluence and project documentation.
