Job Title: Semi- Skilled Diesel Mechanic
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, to ensure optimal performance and longevity;
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions and run diagnostic test to discover functionality issues;
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment to identify potential problems or safety concerns and recommend appropriate repairs or maintenance actions;
- Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule repairs;
- Building and assembling mechanical component according to requirements;
- Servicing of trucks and general maintenance;
- Replenish fluids and components of truck and bakkie engines;
- Keep logs of work and report on issues;
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance;
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, and components;
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and their components;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines;
- Valid driver’s license.
