Job Title: Surfacing Senior Project Engineer – PAVEMENTS – SYDNEY
Duties & Responsibilities
As a Surfacing Senior / Project Engineer you will be managing to surface works for a high-profile project, and will assist in managing a dedicated team, and will report to a Project Manager. You will be responsible for monitoring the project with regards to planning and programming of works, you will assist in resourcing the projects for plant and labor resources, client liaison, through direct contact with your direct reports managing and maintaining the quality of the works, managing and controlling H&S elements at all times, directly monitoring, controlling and reporting cost on projects to the Senior Project Manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The successful candidate will bring to the role;
- 5-10 years + experience, and hold a relevant degree in civil engineering or similar
- Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technically challenging projects, particularly involving road construction and more specifically pavement related works through on-site supervision and management of on-site activities
- A good understanding and demonstrative experience of general civil engineering and technical elements.
- Previous work history with an established Civil Engineering/Asphalting/Pavements Company.
- A good understanding and demonstrative experience of pavement types, standard surfacing, and asphalting practices, including supervision of laying, quantifying and ordering of materials, testing, and monitoring of quality.
- Have necessary experience and knowledge in auxiliary civils involved in surfacing and roading construction such as ironwork, curb, channeling, milling, and planning?
- Be practical-minded and work with a hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills
- A solutions-orientated attitude with a desire to progress in your career.
