Job Title: FTC Financial Reporting Accountant – Fixed-Term Contract

Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a key part in their financial and regulatory reporting team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the team to complete and assist with various reporting tasks, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to regulatory authorities.
- Contributing to group reporting, providing valuable insights through actuals and forecast analysis.
- Preparing trial balances for actuals, forecasts, and planning purposes, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Supporting the ORSSA submission process, leveraging your expertise to ensure compliance.
- Participating in board and audit committee presentations, and communicating financial insights effectively.
- Assisting with the preparation of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) to showcase our financial performance.
- Providing valuable support during the audit process, addressing any queries promptly and effectively.
Desired Experience & Qualification
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A newly qualified CA (SA) certification would be advantageous, demonstrating your commitment to excellence.
- Experience in an accounting environment related to insurance/reinsurance would give you a head start.
- A degree or diploma in a finance-related field, combined with relevant work experience, will lay a strong foundation for success.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to collaborate effectively and build strong professional relationships.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions will empower you to analyze data and generate valuable insights.
- The ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
