Job Title: Registered Nurse
Introduction
A Registered Nurse is required by my client in Cape Town. Successful candidate to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Providing medical care and first aid: Administering basic medical care and first aid treatment to employees who are injured or become ill during working hours. This includes assessing the situation, providing initial treatment, and referring employees for further medical attention if needed.
- Conducting health assessments: To ensure employees are fit for work and can safely perform their job duties. This may involve physical examinations, health history reviews, and assessments of fitness for specific tasks.
- Managing employee health records on the company system: Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records for employees, including documenting injuries, illnesses, treatments, and any relevant medical information. Ensuring compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Developing and implementing health and safety programs: Collaborating with management and safety personnel to develop and implement health and safety programs in the workplace. This may involve conducting risk assessments, promoting preventative measures.
- Providing health education and counselling: Educating employees about health-related topics, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and providing counselling on occupational health and wellness. This includes addressing topics such as stress management, nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention.
- Managing workplace health emergencies by providing immediate medical assistance and coordinating with emergency services if necessary.
- Maintaining compliance with regulations: Staying updated with occupational health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance within the organization. This includes monitoring workplace conditions, conducting audits, and implementing necessary measures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Supporting return-to-work programs: Assisting with the rehabilitation and return-to-work process for employees who have been absent due to illness, injury, or disability.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Must have a registered nursing qualification from an accredited nursing school or college.
- Must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
- Preferably 1 to 2 years’ experience in cooperate Clinics (Not a must)
- Can be retired.
Package & Remuneration
R15 000 per month.
