Job Title: IA: Automation Execution Specialist Developer

Duties & Responsibilities
Accountabilities
1. Bot Development
The Process Definition Document (PDD) is the key input into the design of the process within the Blue Prism (BP) technology platform. The design also follows Six Sigma principles of efficiency and is aimed at implementation of a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within a defined time period utilising the RPA Wagile methodology. Design should consider alternative automation tools available within the RPA technology stack including but not limited to Blue Prism, Decipher, RPA Supervisor and Human in the Loop.
Participate in the handover of the PDD from the business analysts / engineers and provide critical input into the user story structure to deliver on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) as well as the complexity and duration of the user stories. This provides the basis of the velocity determination for the automation initiative and tracking against the implementation plan.
The Code Breakdown Process follows in accordance with the intelligent automation tool standards for the development, deployment and production and maintenance of automation initiatives. The Naming Convention, Folder Structure and Object and Process development of the automated process including tagging and reporting is aligned to the signed off PDD in accordance with BP Development Standards, the Automation CoE Operating Handbook and the unique production requirements of the relevant core and ancillary systems / platforms within the AHL Group.
The Code Review Process is performed using the System Development Document (SDD) and view a Peer Review process with another RPA Developer in accordance with the RPA Governance Gate Criteria standards.
Engagement with the business via identified Subject Matter Experts during the development phase is a key component for successful delivery of the business requirement.
2. Bot Testing and Release
The Robotic Development Lifecycle (RDLC) includes testing of the solution in accordance with the testing standards including the end to end testing of the solution (five successful end to end recorded runs) and the UAT testing in according with the test strategy and plan detailed in the PDD (use cases / stories) and performed in accordance with the velocity plan. The defect management process is followed where required.
The process walkthrough with business and the submission of the Close Out Report for approval of the release into soft go live (UAT pointing to production) is performed. Stringent monitoring of the process in soft go live is required by the production and review of daily Bot reports in collaboration with the business analysts / engineers and bug fix performed where required. The KPI targets of the automation initiative are key outcomes for progress to the next phase of the RDLC.
Following approval of the soft go live process outcomes by business, prepare the release package in accordance with the Automation CoE Release Process including compilation of the deployment checklist for release into full production. During the warranty period (determined by IA in collaboration with business) any issues arising relating to the MVP must be fixed in accordance with the RDLC.
