Job Title: Payroll Supervisor
Introduction
Responsible for supervising a team of Payroll administrators and clerks which includes, the management of employee data, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets, batching wages, and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. You will be required to handle all payroll queries related to your scope of work.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Batching/Processing of Timesheets from PRP system to Sage 300.
- Balancing of payrolls received against generated by PRP system.
- Retain Tax compliance, payroll deductions and Garnishee payments.
- Loading of clients on PPLE Pay.
- Ensuring the budgeted salaries per client are compared to payroll each month.
- Balancing payroll and reconciling.
- Preparing Journal Ledger for Finance weekly and monthly.
- Loading of IT88 on SARS online system.
- Loading payroll in bank for salary release (Netcash).
- Preparing and loading third parties’ payments in Netcash.
- Preparing paperwork for authorisation before salary release.
- Auditing of payroll data information to ensure compliance with labour and company process.
- Manage filing to ensure all Administrator filing is up to date and accurate.
- Preparing and distributing payroll reports for branches, including payslips.
- Provide feedback to the business for any delays and challenges.
- Processing of Leave on system.
- Monitor PRP to ensure all hours have been captured in payroll system.
- Check all schedules for processing, including all Cash Releases, Bank Rejections and Pay Query Downloads.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Matric
- Certification in Payroll administration. Strong knowledge of legislation compliance
