Job Title: Payroll Administrator/ Accountant

Introduction

PLP Group is looking for a Payroll Admin/ Accountant to render administrative assistance to the Payroll Department & Finance Department simultaneously.

Duties & Responsibilities

Payroll

  • Assisting  Payroll Manager with processing of monthly payroll for all Group Companies
  • Ensuring that all salary input is checked and accurately captured
  • Assisting with staff queries
  • Assisting with Completing and filing Statutory returns timeously.
  • Completing the Company Salary journals by the deadline dates.
  • Assisting as requested by the Payroll Manager with any payroll function, within reason and taking into account your schedule and additional workload for Finance

Medical Aid Administration

  • Completing the medical aid monthly recon and sending it directly to our broker (i.e. 4D Health)

Pension Fund Administration

  • Completing the Pension Fund recon on a monthly basis
  • Recons are to be sent by the deadline dates
  • Monitoring of the nil contributor list

Finance Function

  • Assist with various recons for Group companies
  • Assist with capture, load, and release of daily payments

      for all Group companies

  • Processing of PLP group Creditors- ensuring accurate

      recons and timeous payment

  • Accurate record-keeping & filing

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Competency in Microsoft Office.
  • 3 -4 Years experience
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • XERO Accounting or Accounting experience
  • Knowledge of payroll package: VIP Premier & Payspace
  • Competency in Sars E@sy File and E-filing
  • An understanding of reporting requirements and an ability to formulate reports.
