How to Apply to the University of Cape Town
The University of Cape Town 2023 application can be done both online and offline.
You may apply online. In order to apply online you will need a working email address and a functional cell phone number, or, if you are an international applicant, your passport number.
Once you’ve completed the online application, you don’t need to send a hardcopy application. Hardcopy application is available on campus for those who don’t have access to an internet connection.

NB: Applications for the 2023 academic year are expected to open at the end of March 2023. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible in the application cycle.

You can apply by filling in the hardcopy application form and post your completed application to the desired campus you would like to study at.

Things to note when applying via hardcopy:
- The “old-fashioned” way usually takes longer, so you’ll have to be patient.
- Make sure you have attached all relevant supporting documentation.
