Job Title: Junior Field IT Technician
Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Junior IT Support Technician to join our team based in Johannesburg/Fourways area.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understanding Network Protocols
- Networking knowledge is required (Fibre Routers, Wi-Fi Access Points)
- Helpdesk knowledge and experience dealing with users and understanding how to deliver clear and effective IT Support Services
- Wireless configuration, and management
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Software Installations
- Remote support and onsite support
- Hardware installation
- Provide 1st Line Support.
- Understanding User requirements for Desktop / Laptop setup.
- Printing/Scanning support (IP Printing, shared network printing, local printers)
- Virus and Malware detection, prevention
- Office 365 Setup and configuration beneficial with a good understanding of Microsoft products
- Update internal systems with all work carried out.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Valid South African Drivers License
- Own Transport
- Preferably CompTIA A+ & N+ – need desired qualification
- Working knowledge of computer/laptop hardware and troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of backup solutions and antivirus solutions
Desired Work Experience:
- 1 year or more of Support experience.
- Microsoft Operating System Experience essential.
- Office 365 experience is advantageous.
Personal Skills and Attributes:
- Good communication skills in English (writing and verbal important)
- Punctual
- Ability to work under pressure
- Motivated and Presentable.
Package & Remuneration
R 10 000 – R 12 000 NEG
Petrol provided for work-related travel
