Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Introduction
Normandien Farms (Pty) Ltd, are looking for a Payroll Administrator to be based in Thornville (Pietermaritzburg)
The payroll administrator is responsible for managing the payroll process using the Payspace software, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while maintaining compliance with South African labor laws and regulations
Duties & Responsibilities
- Process payroll on a regular schedule using the Payspace software and ensure timely payment to employees.
- Administer employee benefits, such as medical aid, pension funds, and other deductions or contributions, within the Payspace software.
- Update employee records as necessary, such as changes in salary, deductions, or benefits.
- Process benefit enrolments, changes, and terminations.
- Reconciliation of payrolls
- General payroll queries
- Confirmation of Employment
- Administrative duties e.g. filing
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Between 3-5 years of working experience in a payroll function
- Payspace payroll system experience will be advantageous
- Pastel Payroll/Sage People would be beneficial
- Good Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment, WCA practices, and the POPI Act.
- Excellent computer skills, in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll processes, tax laws, etc
- Good mathematical and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
