Job Title: Restructuring- Expression of Interest
Introduction
McGrathNicol is a specialist Advisory and Restructuring firm trusted by blue-chip clients to partner with them to resolve and implement pragmatic solutions for complex business issues.
We are currently looking for international expressions of interest from Restructuring Professionals where we can offer financial relocation assistance and visa support to join our National Restructuring team in either our Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, or Sydney Offices.
Our team put plans into action that restore stability and deliver value. Partnering with boards, management teams, and financiers facing situations of financial distress, we quickly identify root causes, formulate turnaround strategies and implement value-maximizing restructures. We advise companies across all industry sectors and business sizes.

Duties & Responsibilities
What you will do
- Work as part of a multi-disciplined team to deliver complex business turnaround, restructure, and insolvency assignments.
- Interact with key stakeholders, such as management, employees, creditors, and investors.
- Share and apply industry and market knowledge to anticipate, identify, and impact issues relevant to our projects.
- Mentor and support and learn from junior staff in the execution of tasks.
- Champion and maintain compliance with key risk management processes.
- Participate in and affect business development, including relationship development and opportunities research.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Who you are
- Hold a University Degree in Business or a related subject.
- Have commenced the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand membership or international equivalent or have the interest to complete.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge (ARITA Advanced Certificate or equivalent preferred).
- Prior relevant experience within financial services, banking, or insolvency/restructuring boutique environment.
- Excellent written and verbal and listening communication skills.
- Strong business and commercial acumen.
- Ability to deal with sensitive matters confidentially and tactfully.
- Comfortable with the complex.
