Job Title: Design Draughts Person
Introduction
A market leader in the renewable energy industry seeks a Design Draughts Person to join a technically strong and creative team supplying mounting solutions designed for PV (photovoltaic) modules including:-
- Rooftop Structures;
- Ground Mount Structures;
- Single Axis Trackers (SAT); and
- Carport Structures.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role encompasses working with the drawing office and engineering teams to develop part-specific designs, mechanical components, and structural designs for various structures optimized for PV panel mounting including:-
- Carports;
- Free field standing structures;
- Single-axis trackers;
- Structural steelwork including laser cut, bent parts as well as welded assemblies;
- Rooftop structures and bracketing manufactured from extruded aluminum; and
- Reinforced civil foundations the PV panel structures are mounted to.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required:
- National Draughting Certificate (NQF 4/N4) or equivalent qualification;
- Proficient in 3D and 2D modeling making use of Inventor and AutoCAD with a minimum of 4 years experience in the engineering field;
- Drivers license;
- Computer & mathematical skills;
- Accurate & organized.
Preferred:
- Inventor and/or AutoCAD certificate;
- Registered on the South African Institute of Draughting;
- Technical design experience in both mechanical parts and Steel Structures.
Package & Remuneration
R12 500 – R25 000 per month CTC, negotiable depending on experience.
