Job Title: Assistant Manager Farming
Introduction
THE POSITION WILL BE BASED AT THE FEEDLOT IN HEIDELBERG GAUTENG
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assign tasks to employees
- See that tasks are performed up to Karan Beef Standards
- HR duties – discipline, timesheets etc.
- Adhere to health & safety in the department
- Ad Hoc tasks
- Daily reporting to the Construction Manager
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12
- Technical background on farming equipment
- Good communicator
- Good people skills
- Minimum of 5 years farming experience
- Must have knowledge of pivots, balers and various farm equipment
- Must have knowledge of eragrostis grass and other types of grass
- Must have knowledge of herbicides and insecticides.
- Computer literate
- Must live in the area, within a radius of 30km
- Good general health
- Reliable and dependable person
- Must be able to work weekends and outside normal working hours
- Own reliable transport.
