Job Title: Fire Mechanical Draughtsman
Introduction
Our company designs, manufactures, supplies, and services an alternative mining system that is proven to increase mining production by 30%, at a 20% lower operational cost than the conventional compressed air mining systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Draughtsman to work in a highly technical environment using Solid Works.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties will include but not be limited to: (Using solid works only)
Product design in accordance with specifications.
Produce detailed drawings to the manufacturing team.
Provide the manufacturing team with technical support.
Assist design engineers with drawings from concept to manufacturing.
Quality assurance detailing
Assist engineers with Product development.
Assist engineer(s) with project documentation e.g. Engineering Drawings, etc.
Liaise with Workshop and Engineering Team
Supply drawings for information on request.
Communicate with various Departments to resolve issues.
Ensure deadlines are met timeously.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
Must have Solid Works experience.
Pro-active and creative approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Must have some grasp of engineering, design and mining principles
Ability to work under pressure.
Attention to detail.
Must be willing to relocate to Potchefstroom.
Qualifications:
A Technical tertiary education advantageous
