Job Title: Inventory Accountant – Pietermaritzburg
Introduction
Heartland Foods is looking for an Inventory Accountant to join our team. This opportunity will expand your skills in the manufacturing sector. The role will be based on-site in Pietermaritzburg.
The role is suited for a self-motivated, detailed-oriented individual, with good time management and prioritization, strong problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, experienced leadership and management skills, and the desire to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accountable for stock analytics and commentary.
- Accountable for working capital management and cashflow management of stock
- Day-to-day financial operations and communication from factory to buying
- Ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Ensuring pricing modules are updated
- Inventory Valuations and reconciliations
- KPI reporting packs and presentations on performance.
- Maintenance and system implementation
- Reconciliations of accounts
- Timeous reporting of controls
- Responsible for managing mid-year and full-year audit processes of all entities.
- Responsible for implementing controls and processes to mitigate and reduce risk.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Candidates must have a degree in accounting
- Candidates must have 1-2 years working experience in this position
- Candidate must have experience in people management and building new processes
- Competitive and in line with experience and qualifications.
