Job Title: Occupational Therapy Graduate Program (Australia)
Introduction
We are looking for young, vibrant and passionate graduates within Occupational Therapy that are interested in gaining new skills in the Australian market. These individuals will play an exciting role in our growth journey while growing their careers on an international scale. The aim of this opportunity is to develop young, motivated, and high-performing graduates who will infuse their talent and change lives. The graduates will be given structured learning and workplace experience working with some great, well-known Allied Health clinics in Australia. It will run for two years with the possibility of staying in AU or returning to South Africa where you are able to share all of your newly gained skills.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities (all done under supervision):
- Conducting patient assessments: You will be responsible for assessing the needs and abilities of patients, including physical, mental, and cognitive abilities, to determine the best course of treatment.
- Developing treatment plans: Based on your assessments, you will create individualized treatment plans that address each patient’s specific needs and goals.
- Implementing treatment plans: You will work directly with patients to provide therapy, using various techniques and interventions to improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities.
- Monitoring progress: You will regularly evaluate patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure they are making progress toward their goals.
- Communicating with other healthcare professionals: You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for your patients.
- Providing patient education: You will educate patients and their families on how to manage their conditions, including providing guidance on exercises, adaptive equipment, and other strategies to improve their quality of life.
- Maintaining records: You will keep detailed records of each patient’s progress and treatment, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Required to attend all workshops and job shadowing of Senior OTs
- Continuing education: As a graduate occupational therapist, you will need to keep up-to-date with the latest advances in your field, including new therapies and techniques, by attending workshops, conferences, and other educational events
Desired Experience & Qualification
We require graduates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Half-way through or close to finishing community service year
