We are recruiting to fill the following position below:
Job Title: Accountant / Bookkeeper
ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER
A great opportunity is available for a suitably qualified ACCOUNTANT in the offices of one of the most respected businessmen in South Africa, and the incumbent will gain incomparable accounting experience. The position is based in Cape Town’s city center.
Duties & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
– full accounting function including cashbooks & bank reconciliations
– prepare management accounts on a monthly basis
– prepare monthly end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
– intercompany loan reconciliations
– preparation of investment schedules
– interacting with various investment houses
– preparation of schedules and overall assistance with year-end audits
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
– tertiary qualification in Accounting
– completed SAICA/SAIPA articles
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
– attention to detail
– pro-active in problem-solving
– high levels of integrity
– act appropriately in a highly confidential environment
– fit into a vibrant and young team
