Job Title: National Logistics Manager
Introduction
Our Afrirent Logistics division is a fast growing entity in need of the services of a dynamic National Logistics Manager. The incumbent will be required to manage, develop and grow our footprint within the Logistics environment.
Duties & Responsibilities

- Strong financial acumen to control monthly targets and report against this to the executive team.
- Ability to make decisions when under pressure but still staying within the Policies and Procedures of the Company.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an integrated logistics management system and strategy to support the business objectives.
- Performance analysis of the overall budget/expenses for the logistics operation and determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transport services.
- Develop a profitable business model for the Logistics Department to ensure future growth and sustainability.
- Maximize earning potential by networking and seeking potential clients.
- Ensure that all Logistics contracts become highly profitable operations.
- Developing streamlined procedures and systems for scheduling and tracking
- loads and delivery operations to increase profitability.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with various clients to ensure business growth and sustainability.
- Ensure that all logistics employees are utilized effectively and identify staff requirements.
- Managing logistics staff and identifying any training and development needs.
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations related to transportation.
- Monitoring and analyzing logistics data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Collaborating with other departments to develop and implement logistics solutions that support the overall goals of the organization.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients and external vendors
Desired Experience & Qualifications
BCom Transport and Logistics Management or similar.
Post Grad in Business Management/Administration or similar (Advantageous)
Minimum of 7 years experience in a similar and relevant role.
Strategic Management experience 2 – 4 years.
